Eka, the grandmother, Marina the daughter and Ada, the grand-daughter, are trying to survive in Tbilissi, the charming yet dilapidated capital city of the henceforth independent Georgia. In the old apartment that circumstances have forced them to share, the atmosphere is not always pleasant and the news from Otar, Eka’s son, arrives like wisps of hopes and dreams. Nourished by the aging Eka’s francophone culture, Otar has immigrated to Paris from where he can send them a little money. One day, he dies in an accident. Marina cannot buck up courage to tell Eka and, with the complicity of Ada, she tries to hide the death of Otar. Trying to make his absence last forever, the lie will inevitably disturb their whole existence…
